This is what I wore to work today. I think my challenge is starting to get a little difficult now that I’m on my 11th day. Especially since there are items of clothing I randomly picked without even thinking about. Good thing this leopard top and these pants are very easy to mix and match!

Sorry I haven’t been blogging lately our little city has been hit by a typhoon for the past 3 days. It’s been seriously raining nonstop and the flood is knee deep.
This is what I wore for my 4 year anniversary date with my boyfriend. Sorry for the photos, my 8 year old sister took them before I left the house =p
The other day, my friend who is a blogger from Manila said ”…you somehow showcase the other parts of the Philippines.” I told him, that’s what I’m trying to do with my blog, because not a lot of people can see my side of the Philippines the way a real local sees it.
I wasn’t born in Laoag, my Dad is pure Chinese and only my mom’s mom is a pure bred Ilocana, but we all grew up here. I can’t really say I’m 100% Ilocano but my parents are even more Ilocano than most of the people I know. My dad would never pay thousands of pesos for fancy or gourmet food because he would rather indulge in longganisa, tinuno or dinardaraan. He constantly tries to look for activities that would pull tourists to the province, like sandboarding and the development of Adams for example. My mom… well lets just say my mom will do anything for free to promote Ilocos. So naturally, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. I love Ilocos and this is my own way of doing my fair share.
Ilocos may not be the hippest, or the busiest place in the country but living here teaches you to love the simple things in life and to not get caught up in all the modern day hoopla. It gives you the right balance between the access to modern day pleasures, and living, as well as loving the simple life. Don’t get me wrong, everyone should get out of their little safe place at least once in their lives. I want to travel the world, be able to experience living in different places, but when I have a family of my own, I will raise my children here. I want them to have the same values I was taught, have the whole sand dunes as their backyard and have the whole Pagudpud beach as their own swimming pool.

Vigan is two hours away from where I live, 1 & half if you have my dad as the driver. It’s the only place near Laoag that has National Book Store. We don’t just go there for book shopping though. Calle Crisologo is one of the greatest attractions here up north. It’s like a time machine that transports you to olden times. I love it here! One of the things I love about this place are the many antique shops, and the hole in the wall cafe’s.
Dulcelise has THE yummiest cheesecake I’ve ever tasted here in Ilocos so far.

I look like modern day Pebbles with feathers, bones and leopard print! It took me a looong while to decide on which OS-accessory to buy first but the scapula necklace prevailed. I was so excited when I got it in the mail today! Pictures don’t do this necklace justice. You have to really see it in person to actually appreciate how delicate it looks and how the hand crafting is just unbelievable! My friend Paul Jatayna one of the brains of the OS trio made it extra special for me with an adjustable chain. I am INLOVE!
Oh and don’t forget to check out Maris‘ new line of feathered earrings! This one with turqouise and pink feathers is my new favorite!
This is what I wore for an orientation. Sorry for such lame pictures, I started feeling sick that day. In fact I’m still sick right now. I’m going to the hospital later to get my blood checked, just to make sure this is not dengue.
Have a great day dolls =]
