Spent the first day of 2013 with my family by the beach. None of us went swimming tho cause the waves looked pretty rough. Good thing I brought a pair of heels with me and two outfits, haha! I knew we were going straight to dinner after so I came prepared. There was no place to change, so like the OG beach girl that I am, I changed by the car, putting skirts and sarongs over me. Heard a few people whispering after, amazed that I can change clothes in public o.0

Went to Burgos last Sunday with my family to check out the new surf spot. Waves were pretty chill that day tho. But the place was so serene. There are only a few fishermen around the area, no tourists, no resorts. Can’t wait to try and spend the night here with my friends!!

Welcome to the weekend that never ends

Lala, my childhood buddy and best friend for the longest time moved to Australia when we were 11. I’ve only seen her twice ever since. D, La, her boyfriend and I drove all the way to Pagudpud for the weekend. This is hands down one of the best weekends I’ve had so far.

Here are the photos Ivon took of me in Palpalokada. I haven’t made up my mind yet if this paradise up North looks like Arizona, Hawaii, or Greece. It feels and looks new every time I visit this place.

I kept on wishing I brought accessories and make-up with me, good thing my friend takes wonderful photographs!!!!

I love this customized convertible wrap dress from Jaynny Lao. With the right accessories, it can easily be transformed into a formal dress or a glamorous maxi dress for the beach.

I would pack this dress with me on a summer get away, wear it with my favorite pair of Havaianas and huge gold earrings for a night out near the beach.

My family went on a hiking trip to our new found love: Palpalokada, Burgos. By family I mean my parents and our honorary “Tan”, Ivon.

Our original plan was to hike all day but I decided to bring this new dress I got from Ilocana designer Jaynny Lao just in case.

Never mind that I had these old ugly flats on that totally didn’t go with my dress, or that I had only blush and gloss on my face. Of course Ivon and I seized every minute we were there, impromptu shoots are fun

Nobody does me better than Ivon Domingo :p Watch out for her blog ivondomingo.blogspot.com. Can’t wait to see and blog about the rest of this set ^_^

Hope everyone gets to visit this place and share the same experiences we’ve had, but at the same time we also don’t. We think this beautiful place in Ilocos should be preserved with all its rich treasures. The last thing we need is another commercialized tourist spot where people don’t even bother to pick up their trash or take care of the plants and animals they pass by along the way as long as they get to take a cheesy photo for facebook.

Gorgeous Burgos indeed. Here’s a little glimpse of what Burgos, Ilocos Norte has to offer. Forget about all the mainstream sights. If you’re up for a real adventure, Burgos has so much more to offer.

These photos were taken in Mamaruk. We went to Burgos last Sunday for a really quick trip to further explore the other areas of the town. This is just one of the many (and I mean MANY) destinations in Burgos.

I wore my Red Dot scarf as a midi skirt with short shorts under it. Tied another scarf as a belt and voila! I have a midi skirt with a sexy high slit ^_^

Do you have maxi dresses lying around that you bought out of impulse last summer, that you never get to use? I do. I have quite a few. So why not put a sweater, a shirt or a vest over that darn thing and make it new! I’m a big fan of leg baring shorts but I’m willing to give them a rest for a few long skirts for the cold month of December =)

Pictures do NOT, at all give justice to this place. The Kapurpurawan rock formation found in Burgos, Ilocos Norte is just breath taking. I felt lost somewhere in Pandora with the avatars I swear!

I couldn’t bring much clothes to the shoot because we had to go through a short muddy trek. So I brought two maxi dresses and a vest, and was able to put together 4 different outfits for myself including the leopard-ish maxi Ivon wore for the pictures. Some of the pictures are edited by me. Will upload more pics on the next post ^_^
